FAQ

Common questions

What size do App Store screenshots need to be?

Apple requires a 6.9″ iPhone set at 1320 × 2868 px and a 13″ iPad set at 2064 × 2752 px. Uploading those two covers most listings, because App Store Connect scales them down for smaller devices. Framora exports every size — including 6.7″, 6.5″, 6.3″, 6.1″, 5.5″, the iPad Pro and Air, and all Apple Watch sizes — at the exact pixel dimensions, so nothing gets rejected. The full list is in the sizes table.

Do I have to make screenshots for every iPhone separately?

No. Apple only asks for the largest display size per device family and derives the rest. But if you want a set tuned to each device, Framora's batch export gives you every size in one ZIP, with a separate folder per device — so you can upload exactly what you want.

Is Framora actually free?

Yes — completely, with no account, no credit card, no watermark, and no export limit. Every template, every device size, the batch ZIP export and the app icon generator are all free. There is no paid tier to upgrade to.

Are my screenshots uploaded to a server?

No. Framora runs entirely in your browser — the images are drawn on an HTML canvas on your own machine and the file never touches a server. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works. That also means unreleased app designs stay private.

Do I need Figma, Sketch or Photoshop?

No. Framora replaces that workflow for screenshot work. Drop in the raw capture from the simulator, pick a background, type a headline, and export. What normally takes an afternoon of resizing and re-exporting takes about a minute.

How many screenshots can I upload to the App Store?

Apple allows up to 10 screenshots per device family per localisation, and at least one is required. Most apps use three to five. In Framora you can add as many slides as you need and give each one its own headline, then export the whole set at once.

What size does an iOS app icon need to be?

The App Store listing icon is 1024 × 1024 px, and Xcode's asset catalog wants a range of smaller sizes down to 20 × 20 px for notifications. Upload one square image to the app icon generator and it produces the whole set, correctly named, in a single ZIP.

Do good screenshots actually increase downloads?

The screenshot gallery is the first thing most people look at on a product page, and it is one of the strongest levers in App Store Optimisation — which is why both Apple and Google provide A/B testing tools specifically for it. A clear headline on the first screenshot, explaining what the app does, usually matters more than visual polish.
